Clinical Laboratory Technology Advisory Committee (CLTAC)

The Clinical Laboratory Technology Advisory Committee (CLTAC) plays a vital role in advising the Department on matters related to clinical laboratories. CLTAC is mandated by statute at Business and Professions Code, Section 1228 to ā€œassist, advise, and make recommendations for the establishment of rules and regulations necessary to insure proper administration and enforcement of the provisions of this chapter and to assist and advise the department in matters concerning examinations for licensees of this chapterā€¦.ā€

The CLTAC is a multidisciplinary committee. It is composed of 21 voting members and one non-voting member who represent the various interest groups related to clinical laboratories. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings.
