ELAP/NELAP Application and Certification Management System

 

The ELAP/NELAP Application and Certification Management System is a centralized database application that provides the Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program Branch (ELAPB) with a tool to manage the state and the national accreditation of over 700 environmental laboratories.

The system is used by the ELAPB staff located in Richmond, Sacramento, and Glendale, California, and provides the following functions:

  • Maintain the laboratory and historic information,
  • Track the progress of applications submitted by the laboratories,
  • Maintain the payment information (application fee, annual fee, and out-of-state inspection travel reimbursement),
  • Track the progress of on-site inspections,
  • Maintain the certificate information,
  • Maintain the detailed field of testing of the certificates,
  • Generate renewal and payment notices,
  • Generate certificates and letters to the laboratories,
  • Generate various reports; such as laboratory lists, finance memos, invoices, and activity summary reports for the management.
