  • Description

The 16-Hour BBC Learner Workshop is designed to provide healthcare workers, including physicians, nurses, lactation educators, and others in routine contact with mothers, with the knowledge and skills to support a mother’s decision to breastfeed.  This workshop, ideally given by a team of at least two trainers, is interactive.  It includes videos, and activities for staff participants before they practice parent-infant attachment.  This leads to increased competence to support newborn breastfeeding and consequently, increased patient satisfaction.

The thirteen individual modules in PowerPoint format have detailed speaker’s notes on each slide.
Note: In order to have all the tools needed to offer this workshop, trainers also need to print out the documentation provided in the Train the Trainer Workshop that follows this section.

The following is the link to the “Full Learner Workshop.”  The size of the entire document is quite large.  We recommend you consider viewing the individual modules before selecting to print the individual parts or the entire document.
