C4 began as an ad hoc committee of CDOC, but has since been established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization; however, C4 continues to be an active member of CDOC. C4 was established to increase colorectal cancer screening rates in an effort to decrease mortality associated with the disease. Their mission is to save lives and reduce suffering from colorectal cancer in all Californians through reducing disparities in colorectal screening, diagnosis and treatment among underserve populations; increasing capacity for colorectal cancer screening; and advocating for CRC screening programs to serve uninsured and underinsured populations. Please visit www.cacoloncancer.org to learn more about C4.
