CalFresh Community Outreach Initiative (CCOI) for CalFresh Outreach Plan

(Non-federal Matching Funds Required)

On April 2, 2012, the Network released the Request for Application (RFA) CCOI 2013 (RFA 13-CCOI) inviting regional and statewide organizations currently conducting community CalFresh outreach with non-federal funds and would like to receive matching funds from the Network to enhance their current interventions as part of a larger public health effort.  Contracts with successful applicants will begin on October 1, 2012.

Goals of the funding:

1. To Increase participation in the CalFresh Program among an estimated one million eligible but non-participating California households through partnerships with community-based organizations.
2. To identify community-based organizations to participate in the FFY 2013 CCOI and to secure required documents from each agency so that the Network is able to develop and submit the CCOI within timelines set by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and USDA.

RFA Timeline:

Thank you for your interest in applying.  We look forward to receiving your final, hard copy application by 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2012.  Applicants are required to submit a non-binding, mandatory Letter of Qualification and Intent by 4:00 p.m. on April 23, 2012.
