Welcome to the State of California

How to Participate - Written Comments on Proposed Regulations

The public has an opportunity to participate in the rulemaking process by submitting written comments on proposed regulations to the Department's Office of Regulations and may request to be added to the Department's mailing list by completing and submitting the Regulation Notice Request Sheet by fax, mail or email to the Office of Regulations.

When to Submit Written Comments

The Department invites the public to submit written comments regarding proposed regulations during the announced public comment period.  The public comment period is announced in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking or Notice of Emergency Rulemaking that is published in the California Regulatory Notice Register.

What to Include with the Written Comments

To assist the Department with tracking and responding to your written comments, please provide the following information:

  1. Contact Information
    Name
    Company Name (If applicable)
    Street Address

  3. Comments Specific to the Proposed Regulations
