If you are diagnosed with breast cancer: Free treatment is available to all Californians who qualify through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program. Information on this program is available on Medi‑Cal's website or call 1-800-824-0088 to speak with an eligibility specialist.

Trained volunteers handle telephone calls from the public on a spectrum of issues, including HIV testing, transmission, trends, and new AIDS treatments. Calls are anonymous and confidential. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pacific Standard Time (PST), Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

If you are diagnosed with cervical cancer or certain other cervical conditions that could become cancerous, free treatment is available to all Californians who qualify through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program. California's prostate cancer treatment program is called IMProving Access, Counseling & Treatment for Californians with Prostate Cancer (IMPACT). IMPACT will pay for prostate cancer treatment for men who qualify for up to 12 months. Treatment is available throughout California.

WISEWOMAN Program is called Heart of the Family or Corazón de la Familia, and it is a part of the California Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program. The goal of the WISEWOMAN Program is to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease through no-cost screening and counseling for women aged 40-64 who are also enrolled in the Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts (CDP: EWC).
