HIV/AIDS Reporting-Related Health and Safety Codes
Health and Safety Code 131019 designates the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of AIDS, as the lead agency for coordinating HIV/AIDS-related programs.
Health and Safety Code 121022 mandates HIV reporting by name to the local health officer. Local health officers are required to report cases to CDPH.
Health and Safety Code 120130 authorizes CDPH to establish a list of communicable diseases reportable to the local health officer, and then to CDPH.
