California Student Tobacco Survey, 2011- 2012  (PDF, New Window)
The California Student Tobacco Survey (CSTS), funded by the California Tobacco Control Program of the California Department of Public Health, is conducted biennially by WestEd, Inc. The CSTS is a large-scale, in-school student survey of tobacco use. Althoughsurveys are collected for both middle (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students, the sample size of middle school students was insufficient to allow for the calculation of county and regional estimates. the sampling strategy includes stratification by 12 regions in California, with sample sizes that allow for the calculation of regional and some individual county estimates.
