Local Agency Nutrition Positions
- WIC Registered Dietitians (RDs)
RDs work in many areas of community nutrition, auch as nutrition and health education; breastfeeding support and education; curriculum development; staff development and training; and supervision and management.
- Nutritionists, Nutrition Assistants, and Degreed Nutritionists
Many local WIC agencies offer nutrition assistant and nutritionist positions to graduates with a bachelors or masters degree in nutrition. Graduates from an ADA-approved "Didactic Program in Dietetics" are encouraged to apply for these positions where they earn a competitive salary, gain valuable community nutrition experience, and receive selection priority for a WIC dietetic Internship.
