The following policies and procedures manual provides guidance to Department staff regarding Department compliance with the California Information Practices Act (IPA), the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and with the numerous statutes, regulations, Executive Orders, court decisions and Department policies which regulate privacy.
