āāWelcome from the PMRP Director
Caroline Peck, MD, MPH, FACOG
Thank you for visiting the CDPH Preventive Medicine
Residency Program website. As a graduate of the program, I am proud to
contribute to the training of future preventive medicine physicians. I enjoy
applying my experience as a doctor and my public health administrative skills
to impact all Californians. The program is a rewarding experience. I welcome
your interest and hope you join others in the program.
The Preventive Medicine Residency Program aims to train physicians to be leaders in California public health agencies at the state and local level. Residents will have the opportunity to obtain a Master of Public Health degree, and to gain hands-on knowledge and skills in public health administration, under the guidance of practicing public health physicians. The goal is for residents to gain competency in both Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) competencies.
