Admin 25-10012 Tobacco Education and Research Oversight Committee (TEROC) Master Plan 2027ā2028āā
The purpose of this Solicitation is to request
competitive proposals from California-based agencies or organizations to assist
TEROC in producing the 2027ā2028 TEROC Plan. TEROC is
a legislatively mandated oversight committee that monitors the use of
Proposition 99 and Proposition 56 tobacco tax revenues for tobacco control,
prevention education, and tobacco-related research in California. This
plan will outline TEROCās strategic goals
and serve as a call to action for stakeholders, partners, and allies
working to reduce tobacco use and tobacco industry influence in California. It
will include objectives and strategies aimed at addressing many different areas
of tobacco prevention, policy recommendations for policymakers, progress
reports and implementation strategies for priority populations most impacted by
tobacco, recommendations on administrative agreements, funding priorities, and
integration and coordination of approaches by the advisory agencies to TEROC.
āāCG 25-10003 Empowering Tobacco Prevention Efforts in Tribal Communities
āThis
Request for Application (RFA) seeks to fund up to six (6) Federally Recognized
California Tribal Governments to address tobacco-related disparities affecting
the American Indian population. For this RFA, Applicants are required to: 1)
Build capacity and skills among tribal members and staff employed by tribal
governmental organizations to implement tobacco use prevention and reduction
interventions and provide health education services; 2) Mobilize and engage
community residents and tribal governmental organizations to engage in tobacco
use prevention and cessation and support policy and system changes; and 3)
Design, support, adopt, implement, and evaluate tribal policy and system change
campaigns that seek to prevent and reduce tobacco use.ā
