Health Care Provider Education
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch (CLPPB) provides educational materials
for the purpose of increasing awareness regarding the hazards of lead exposure,
reducing lead exposure, and increasing the number of children assessed and
appropriately blood tested (screened).
CLPPB has resources for health care providers who would like more information about lead poisoning prevention and management. This includes mandated anticipatory guidance and lead testing requirements, information about health effects and risk factors, and management guidance for lead exposed children.
Live educational webinars provided by a CLPPB Medical Officer are available free of charge.
To schedule a webinar, contact the California Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch at CLPPB_Provider_Outreach@cdph.ca.gov.
