Reporting Requirements
Am I required to report?
āāAccording to Section 124130 of the California Health and Safety Code, the analyzing laboratory is required to report the results of all blood lead drawn in California to the EBLR System.
What must I report?
All blood lead levels must be reported along with the information specified in California Health and Safety Code, Section 124130.
How do I report?
The EBLR System is used to report all blood lead levels. Your laboratory must be enrolled, and you must have a user account to report.
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select the appropriate reason.
What is the reporting timeframe?
CDPH follows the most recent federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reference level for an elevated blood lead (BLL). The current reporting timeframe for all blood lead results:
When reporting blood lead results, how do I determine the detection limits?
The detection options are based on the instrument detection limits.ā Please follow the manufacturer guidelines.
We have a LeadCare II device, but the result is displaying as ālow.ā How do I report the result?
When this occurs, report the blood lead level as ā3.3ā and select āBelow (<) Detection Limits.ā Low indicates a blood lead test result is less than 3.3 µg/dL.
We have a LeadCare II device, but the result is displaying as āhigh.ā How do I report the result?
When this occurs, report the blood lead level as "65" and select āAbove (>) Detection Limits.ā High indicates a blood lead test result greater than 65.0 µg/dL.

I forgot my username; how do I retrieve it?

How do I reset my password?

How do I upload data files for reporting?
The Upload Data File option allows approved laboratories to transmit batch files containing blood lead test results.
If interested, please contact EBLRSupport@cdph.ca.gov for specifications and information about coming on board with batch file reporting.
How do I correct a test result that Iāve already submitted?
In the EBLR System, go to the āSubmit Lab Resultsā box and select āCorrect a Result Previously Submitted Using the On-Line Blood Lead Reporting Form.ā Enter all data including the corrected fields.
Updates
Our laboratory is no longer testing for blood lead, what should we do?
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select āLab is discontinuing testingā as the contact reason.
