There are many ways a person can be exposed to lead, but most adults with lead poisoning are exposed on the job. Children can also be poisoned through "take-home lead" if the worker brings lead dust from work into the home on clothes, shoes, or tools.
Lead poisoning is preventable. See our resources below to prevent workplace lead exposure and protect yourself and your family. Contact us if you'd like more information or hard copies of printed materials or videos to share with workers and others.
