Option 6 - Too good to waste!

EnglishSkip to main content

Do you know how to store your fruits and vegetables? WIC can offer tips to help you stretch your Fruits and Vegetables Benefit.

Onions and potatoes are often stored together, but they spoil faster this way. For example, sweet potatoes give off moisture that can speed up the spoiling of onions. Onions can give off gases that cause sweet potatoes to sprout. So, keep them in separate baskets for a longer shelf life.
