Title 17 Sections 2505 and 2500 require all California laboratories to submit positive laboratory reports for Carbapenemase-producing Organisms (CPOs) (PDF) and Candida auris (C. auris) (PDF), and healthcare providers to report all cases of C. auris to public health. Some local health departments have requirements for reporting and submitting carbapenem-resistant organisms (CROs). Candida auris Data & Reporting

Since September 202ā€‹2, healthcare providers and laboratories are required to report cases of C. auris colonization and infection to public health per California state regulations (PDF).

Case Count Notes: Data are cumulative from January 2017 through the end of the most recent month with complete reporting data. Each case represents a unique patient with C. auris, and is attributed to the county of the healthcare facility that first identified the patient. A patient identified upon admission at a healthcare facility may be attributed to the county of the facility from which the patient transferred. Case counts are updated on a monthly basis and counties with one to ten cases are shown as ā€œ<11.ā€
