Prime Therapeutics Management
Prime Therapeutics Management provides pharmacy benefits management services for ADAP. ADAP clients receive a prescription benefit card from Prime and have access to a pharmacy network with over 4,000 pharmacies in California. Pool Administrators, Incorporated (PAI)
PAI provides insurance and medical benefits management services for ADAP. PAI will remit health insurance premium payments on behalf of clients enrolled in the following Office of AIDS, premium payment programs:
- Health Insurance Premium Payment (OA-HIPP) program, and
- Employer-Based Health Insurance Premium Payment (EB-HIPP) program.
Clients enrolled in either of these programs are also eligible for the Medical Out-of-Pocket benefit. PAI will submit payments for outpatient medical out-of-pocket costs that count toward a client's health insurance policy's annual out of pocket maximum. All OA-HIPP and EB-HIPP eligible clients receive a client ID card to provide to medical providers when they receive services.
Spouses and dependents, who are enrolled in ADAP themselves and listed as a family member on a OA-HIPP or EB-HIPP client's health insurance plan, are also eligible for the medical out-of-pocket benefit. Spouses and/or dependents can enroll in the Spousal-Dependent medical out-of-pocket program by completing and submitting the Family Plan Consent form (PDF) and theā Acknowledgment of Policies and Responsibilities form (PDF).
