Accounting & Budgets
Accounting classifications perform professional accounting duties such as reviewing and analyzing all types of accounts and records of financial transactions; and maintaining accounting records and handling accounts receivables and accounts owed for the Department.
Budget classifications work to ensure the Department’s expenditures stay within the funds allotted by the annual Governor’s Budget. Duties in the budget office can include: reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and processing budget change proposals; make recommendations on budget matters to higher level department management; reconcile appropriation by source of funding and review purchase estimates, printing requisitions, personnel transactions documents and contracts.
