OHE AskCHIS NE Dashboard
Welcome to the Office of Health Equity (OHE) dashboard to investigate local-level disparities in health
and social determinants of health in California.
This explorative
dashboard highlights data on topics covered by the California Health
Interview Survey Neighborhood Edition (AskCHIS NEĀ©) in 2011-2012 and 2013-2014. The goal of this dashboard is to expand on AskCHIS NE by providing data tools with enhanced data visualization and integration of statewide and geographic frames of reference, thereby improving the accessibility of health information to policy makers, planning agencies, and community-based stakeholders. Additionally, users can explore data on the relationships between pairs of topics and how these relationships differ across the state. The ten topics covered are:

- food insecurity
- self-reported health status
- mental health (psychological distress)

health estimates at the local level (zip code and city).
AskCHIS NE estimates and confidence intervals have not been aggregated
or otherwise altered. For additional information on how estimates were
calculated, visit AskCHIS NE.
Additional data used in this dashboard was gathered from the U.S.
Census Bureau's American Community Survey zip code tabulation area
