​​​​The SARS-CoV-2 Whole Genome Sequencing Initiative (COVIDNet) is a new public-private partnership to provide California with genomic sequencing data for surveillance and epidemiological efforts to understand and control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, SARS-CoV-2.​

California's COVID-19 dashboard contains statewide and county-level data, broken down by several categories, including vaccination status, demographics, impact on hospitals, and more.

​​Post-vaccination cases are individuals who are fully vaccinated and have a positive SARS-CoV-2 molecular (e.g. PCR) test 14 days or more after they have completed their full one-dose or two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series. They are also referred to as vaccine breakthrough cases.
