Lead Week is an annual, national campaign during the last full week of October to bring awareness to and prevent childhood lead exposure. This year, Lead Week takes place October 20ā26 and Californiaās theme iās, āTheāre's leadā in that? Learn about sources of lead in consumer products.ā Everyone is encouraged to geāt involved with Lead Week by participating in events and sharing these resources about preventing childhood lead poisoning. The California Department of Public Health, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch welcomes the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a presentation on lead in consumable goods. The presentation will focus on FDA's actions to keep children and families safe from consumable goods that are found to contain lead.

Children's Consumer Products by Consumer Product Safety Commission
The āāāCalifornia Department of Public Health, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch welcomes the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for a presentation on children's consumer products. The presentation will focus on CPSC's efforts to keep children and families safe when products are found to contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban.
