Dear Local Heath Officers and Health Directors,
This letter serves as official notification of the following funding period extension:
1. The Public Health Workforce Development Supplemental funding was provided to all local health jurisdictions (LHJs) through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The funding provided to all LHJs ($64 million) is meant to establish, expand, train, and sustain the STLT public health workforce to support jurisdictional COVID-19 prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives, including school-based health programs. The funding period was originally July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2023, and has now been modified to July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024.
Additional reports have been added to the reporting schedule to accommodate the extended period of service for this grant.
