Stewardship Help and Support

The CDPH HAI ASP program offers support for facilities interested in strengthening their antimicrobial stewardship (AS) program (ASP) or their CDPH HAI ASP Honor Roll applications. Facilities can email
HAI_AS@cdph.ca.gov, book a 30-minute virtual consultation, or reach out to the ASCN Listserv.

Support is available for those interested or working in AS, including:
- Hospitals (including long term acute care and critical access hospitals)
- Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Outpatient Providers and Clinics
- Local Health Departments
Areas of Assistance
Assistance may include, but is not limited to:
- Obtaining technical assistance with the Honor Roll application
- Implementing ASP core elements (e.g., action, reporting, education, etc.)
- Developing or improving a stewardship intervention or quality improvement project
- Tracking and measuring antibiotic use
- Developing or strengthening your overall antimicrobial stewardship program

- Provided resources and education on best stewardship practices to help a facilityās new ASP pharmacist, untrained in antimicrobial stewardship, maintain an existing AS program
