ā€‹Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection for Frontline Staff 
Use the following introductory material to train and educate staff on the core infection prevention practice of environmeā€‹ā€‹ntal cleaning and disinfection. Note the following also includes hand hygiene and personal protective equipment trainings.  
  • EVS training slides in English (PDF) and Spanish (PDF) 
  • EVS flipchart: The flipchart corresponds with the above training slides and is a resource for on the go training. We recommend printing on ledger sized (11ā€ x 17ā€) paper, double-sided. Available in English (PDF) and Spanish (PDF). 
  • Pre-/post-test questions with answer keys in English (PDF), Spanishā€‹ (PDF)  
Infection Prevention Fundamentals 
The fundamentals course gives educators a comprehensive background on environmental cleaning and disinfection.  
Basic Principles of Infection Control for Environmental Services Technicians 
The fundamentals courses are offered by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).ā€‹.
