Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP)
Public Notice of Intent to Award

The California Department of Public Health​​ (CDPH) Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division (MCAH) is pleased to announce its intent to award the following applicants at the corresponding Title V funding levels for AFLP for the contract period of July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2026. CDPH/MCAH received 19 applications, of which the 17 highest scoring applicants have been selected for funding. To maximize the number of awards, CDPH/MCAH used a needs-based funding methodology, as outlined in the RFA, corresponding to an adjusted case management fulltime equivalency. Details on Title XIX requested amounts will be provided at a later date for sites to which this applies. 

The RFA process was highly competitive, and CDPH/MCAH wishes to thank all applicants for their thoughtful proposals and commitment to promoting the health of expectant and parenting youth in California. 

Awards are tentative until completion of the RFA process and the Final Notice of Awards, which CDPH/MCAH anticipates posting on June 9, 2023. All awards are contingent upon federal funding levels and appropriations, contract negotiations, and state spending authority. As indicated in the RFA, applicants may request a summary of their review results by emailing AFLP_RFA@cdph.ca.gov.
