What is OIDā€‹PR?

The Office of Infectious Disease Preparedness & Response (OIDPR) within the Center for Infectious Diseases (CID) monitors and plans for infectious disease threats and emergencies and supports coordination for related planning, preparedness, and response activities across CID and CDPH programs. The expanded scope of the Office includes investment in workforce training and development for disease intervention, including implementation and evaluation of the California Pathways into Public Health Fellowship and Internship Programs, leadership in the development and implementation of medical countermeasure strategies, and the assurance of 24/7 access to infectious diseases subject matter expertise through the management of the CID Duty Officer Program.
