Radiation Machines - Inspection, Compliance & Enforcement
āThe RHB's āRadiation (X-ray) Machines Inspection Compliance & Enforcement (ICE X-ray) Section is responsible for all inspections and investigations related to the use of X-Ray machines. There are some general requirements that apply to all registrants here followed by additional guidance provided for each type of use.
- Each user shall afford, at all reasonable times, opportunity to inspect materials, machines, activities, facilities, premises, and records pursuant to these regulations and consult privately with workers or their designated representative. (Health & Safety Code (HSC) sections 107035 & 115095.)
- Conspicuously post a copy of the regulations, or how to electronically access them, must be posted for staff reference. (Title 17, Cal. Code Regs. (17 CCR) section 30255.)
- Conspicuously post a copy of the Notice to Employeesā (PDF) must be posted for staff reference. ( 17 CCR 30255.)
- Each registrant must develop and implement a radiation protection program (PDF) commensurate with the use of the X-Ray machines in the possession.ā (17 CCR 30253; Tit. 10, Code of Fed. Regs., Part 20.)āā
Effective June 26, 2024, RHB will no longer issue Certificates of Registration upon initial registration or renewal. Registration verification is now available through our online registration verification page.āā
