Purpose

Attached to this memo are:

• five policy and procedure (P&P) final versions with updates based on LHJ feedback

• two semi-final drafts of the Allowable Uses of CHVP Funding for Mental Health Consultation in Home Visiting and Contracted Caseload Capacity P&Ps

• a Summary of Key Updates, which is an outline of the revisions made in response to the CDPH/CHVP Memo #23-07 and CDPH/CHVP Memo #24-05

• Please note: some feedback was not addressed in the policy updates but will help guide technical support to LHJs. CDPH/CHVP carefully considered all feedback and synthesized the information to prioritize changes in the policies and procedures.

CDPH/CHVP is continuing to gather feedback for the Allowable Uses of CHVP Funding for Mental Health Consultation in Home Visiting P&P. Please complete the survey linked below if your LHJ is interested in providing feedback.

Background

CDPH/CHVP is in the process of updating current P&Ps and developing new P&Ps to align with programmatic, data, scope of work (SOW), and evidence-based model requirements. 

On October 31, 2023 and May 13, 2024, CDPH-CHVP Memo 23-07 and CDPH-CHVP Memo 24-05 requested that local health jurisdictions (LHJs) review and provide feedback on the first seven CDPH/CHVP P&Ps. CDPH-CHVP Memo 24-05 highlighted input provided by LHJs a Summary of Key Updates. 

This memo is to notify LHJs that five P&Ps are being released as final versions, two are semi-final versions, and CDPH/CHVP is continuing to gather feedback on the Mental Health Consultant P&P.

Action

Please refer to attachments 1-5 for the CDPH/CHVP P&P final versions. The final P&Ps will be shared on the CDPH/CHVP webpage.
