āPursuant to Government Code section 11346, AFL 18-41 Notice Of Stakeholder Meeting for Unusual Occurrence Regulations invited interested parties to attend a stakeholder meeting to discuss the update of regulations for the reporting of Unusual Occurrences in LTC facilities and invited stakeholders to submit verbal and written comments prior to the start of the formal rulemaking process. ā
CHCQ is seeking additional stakeholder input for consideration while developing regulations to implement procedures for reporting Unusual Occurrences in LTC facilities.
The topics for which CHCQ is soliciting feedback and comments include, but are not limited to:
- Definition of what constitutes an unusual occurrence that requires reporting.
- Reporting timelines and procedures for LTC facilities in the event of an unusual occurrence.
- Criteria for assessing the severity of an unusual occurrence
- Required documentation and information to be submitted when reporting an unusual occurrence.
- Procedures for follow-up actions, investigations, and reporting outcomes.
