Where Do Fellows Work and What Do They Dāo?
The California Pathways into Public Health (Pathways) Fellowship Program partners with a variety of California local health departments to host fellows for their 13-month fellowship.
The local health departments that apply to host a fellow vary with each application cycle. Applicants will be able to select their preferred local health departments from the available options on the supplemental application.
August 2023 Cohort - Participating Local Health āāDepartments
The Pathways Fellowship Program hired fellows in 24 local health departments for the August 2023 cohort. The map below shows the participating health departments for the August 2023 cohort. Below is a map of August 2023 cohort host sites and a list of some of the public health topic areas where previous fellows have worked.
The participating host sites change every cohort. A host site shown here does not guarantee they will be a host site for future cohorts. Applicants will be able to select from the list of available host sites on the supplemental application.

Fellows are matched to the host sites based primarily on geography as the Fellowship is an in-person job opportunity. The list provided above does not guarantee those topic areas will be available to fellows for each cohort or host site.ā
