Behavioral/Mental Health Services
Mental Health Services
Healthy San Francisco Participants may be treated for
confidential mental health services, such as individual counseling for
depression, anxiety, panic, or help with other emotional problems.
County Public Health
Department
The San Francisco Department of Public Health strives to
achieve its mission through the work of two Divisions - the Community Health
Network (CHN) and Population Health and Prevention. The CHN is the City's health
system and has locations throughout the City including San Francisco General
Hospital Medical Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, and
over 15 primary care health centers. The Population Health and Prevention
Division has a broad focus on the communities of San Francisco and is comprised
of the Community Health and Safety Branch, Community Health Promotion and
Prevention Branch, and the Community Health Services Branch.

International Rescue Committee
IRC provides opportunities for refugees to thrive in
America. Each year, thousands of refugees are invited by the U.S. government to
seek safety and freedom. Forced to flee conflict or persecution, many have
survived for years against incredible odds. They step off the plane with next to
nothing but their dignity, hope and determination. In Northern California and
many other regional offices across the country.
Catholic Charities
Strengthening Families, Reducing Poverty. Founded in 1907
and rooted in our faith traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities
supports families, aging and disabled adults, and youth through social services
and opportunities for healthy growth and development.

SF-CAIRS (San Francisco Refugee Forum)
Established in 2007, SF-CAIRS is a coalition of organizations serving the San Francisco Bay Area asylee, immigrant and refugee community and its service providers. SF-CAIRS is a multidisciplinary body of over 20 agencies and 60 members with representation from city government, community based organizations, employment, immigration and health care providers, educational and vocational training organizations and other support services.
Childcare Assistance
The Federal Government, California and San Francisco fund
a broad range of local child care programs. Human Services Agency (HSA) administers vouchered,
subsidized child care to eligible families served through CalWORKs, Family and
Children's Services, homeless programs, and other subsidy programs for
low-income families. Children's Council of San Francisco is contracted by HSA to
administer its city and state funded child care subsidies. Additionally, they
provide Resource and Referral helping parents find the appropriate child care
that meets their needs.
Food Bank
Our mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin.
It's a huge job that's only gotten harder as our community struggles with a
prolonged period of economic distress and record numbers of people are pushed to
the point of hunger. Thankfully, thousands of caring donors and supporters have
rallied around the Food Bank and enabled us to scale up our operations to meet
the need. With 130 employees, 25,000 volunteers each year, and 450 partner
organizations throughout the community, the Food Bank is vital lifeline for
people in need of food assistance.
CALfresh Food Assistance
The CalFresh Program, federally known as the Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), can add to your food budget to put healthy
and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits
that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores.
SF Housing Authority
The Mission of the San Francisco Housing Authority is to
deliver safe and decent housing for low income households and integrate economic
opportunity for residents.
Social
Services
The Department of Human Services (Human Services Agency)
serves almost 100,000 San Franciscans each year. The people we serve are those
who suffer hardship or who have been unable to participate fully in the social
and economic life of the community.
American Red
Cross
The American Red Cross of the Bay Area is part of the
Northern California Coastal Region serving more than 7 million people and is
comprised of the following chapters: California Northwest, Bay Area, Silicon
Valley, and the Central Coast.
