Am I Eligible For The Fellowship?
The California Pathways into Public Health (Pathways) Fellowship Program seeks applicants who are interested in long-term careers working in public health. Applicants must demonstrate flexibility, social and cultural inclusiveness, and a desire to be of service. Fellowship applicants should be willing to work in any area of public health and should be interested in gaining broad public health skills.
Applicants must meet one of the following work experience/education requirements:
- High school diploma (or GED) plus at least four years of any work experience; OR
- Associate degree plus at least two years of any work experience; OR
- Bachelorās degree
College degrees can be in any subject area. Work experience can be in any field, including jobs such as a cashier at a retail store or a barista at a coffee shop.
- āPeople with a high school diploma/GED and four years of any kind of work experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- People with an associates degree in any subject and two years of any work experience in any field are strongly encouraged to apply.ā
Applicants must also be willing to:
- Commit to working full-time, 40 hours per week, for 13 months
- Work in-person at a local health department in California
- Relocate within or to California at their own expense (if applicable) ā
